How it works
1. Choose how you play
One shared device passed around the table, or a device each. No accounts are needed and everyone can pick their own language.
2. One question at a time
Whoever has the turn draws a question, reads it aloud and answers. Passing is always a complete answer, and you can swap the question as often as you like.
3. The speaker decides what happens next
When you've finished answering, you choose: let the answer stand, invite a response, allow a follow-up question, or offer the question to someone else.
4. A depth check between rounds
After each round everyone privately chooses whether to open the next level for their own turns. Nobody sees your choice and you can always step back.
5. A gentle close
Finish with check-out cards and a reminder to keep what was shared between you.
The three levels
Easy to answer: everyday life, taste and values. A good place to start, however well you know each other.
Patterns, feelings and things that cost something to say out loud. Opened only by the person answering, on their own turns.
Core identity, grief, shame and things that change a relationship. Rarely opened, and always voluntary.
Before you begin
- Pass is always a complete answer. You do not need to explain why.
- Listen all the way through without interrupting.
- Ask before giving advice or going deeper.
- What is shared here stays among you.
- The aim is connection, not maximum disclosure.
Full attention
- Phone down between your own turns — no messages, no browsing.
- Never interrupt a turn. Let the person answering finish.
- If you are in the room, you are all the way in the room.
- What is said here stays among you.
Nothing you say is recorded, transcribed or stored. Your nickname lasts only as long as the game.
